See this:

I trust you really need to factory restore because you will lose everything you have put on since new. Maybe there is a problem we can help you with (without having to restore).

Note that if your issue happens to be a hardware fault then restore will not help.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

the exact problem is that my 888 poker app wont open and hasnt done for a few weeks so i have just resorted to instant play online... but now the instant play window wont open either.... there is nothing off importance on this as it is an old machine and i only really use it for browsing and playing poker online... thanks for your quick responce

Perhaps first try going back in time a little - via a Restore Point?

Who knows it may do all that's required to resolve the problem?

Incidentally - and a long shot at that... Perhaps also run Diskcleanup and get rid of accumulated "junk":

After-which defrag the drive; as these too may also contribute to a resolution without needing to reset to Factory state?

Yep, try Windows System Restore, to a point in time before the problem came along.

It's quite fast and will not lose anything - just sit tight and wait for it to finish. You can still opt for factory restore later if you have to.

EDIT:
I'm not familiar with your poker app but maybe uninstalling it and re-installing it will do the trick.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

The reason I suggest diskcleanup as a possible benefit/resolution is that the game may not be able to find sufficient "free space" to use... Especially if it likes space, and the drive hasn't been decluttered etc. for an age (if ever).

Yeah, everything is possible and disk cleanup doesn't take too long.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
