We are trying to obtain a dual monitor setup with one of the monitors "forwarding" its display to a projector. This is going to be set up in a training room and one monitor is going to be a working monitor and the other is what the trainer/classroom will see. Right now we have 2 DVI-D monitors hooked up in a dual monitor display. We also have one SVGA port that is not being used. I tried this without luck. Can this be used? What do I need to obtain a triple monitor setup? Thanks folks!

Your Dell evidently has Integrated PCIe graphics and an add in PCIe dualhead graphics card.
When you install the card that automatically disables the integrated.
If all you need to have is the same image on both monitors and the projector then you could use a VGA splitter to share one of the two outputs and use the other for the projector.
I suggest you verify you can get the projector woking first before investing any resources into this project.
Other options include getting a triplehead PCIe card. This option is the elegant way to accomplish your goal.
Matrox is the industry leader in that type of card. Below are links. They have many products. I suggest you contact them for assistance.
