I have a HP Laptop which does not boot. I know the problem is with the Motherboard. Before i send this to HP for repair, i would like to transfer the files from HD. I have already took out the HD and tried it on 2 different laptops but they do not match.
I was wondering if there is a way to connect the HD to my desktop computer and transfer files?

Thank you.

Buy a cheap usb external drive case.

If you just want to image/clone the drive, Ghost or Acronis
can image to a usb drive. Or search for freeware
image/cloning utilities.

If its in an external case, you can just copy files.
