My hdd is not detected, it blink once but the actual HD is spinning. I removed the HD and tested on another adapter its working fine but on this original adapter its not. What maybe the problem?

Can you clarify how the problem drive is connected initially; rather than via "another adapter" etc.?

So this is an external Hard Drive, right?

Is it an enclosure?

If it is an enclosure and it works OK with another enclosure of usb adapter, then the one you have initially is probably faulty...

Enclosure control boards often fail; and one point of failure is the actual usb input socket on the enclosure itself. Occasionally it's on-board electronics, or even the power adapter itself (if there is one).

I'm still not really clear what sort of adapter you have - there are many types. Is it an enclosure, or maybe a hub? What does it adapt to what, USB drives often plug straight into a USB socket?

Whatever type of adapter it is, it sounds like it is faulty.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

External drive USB cord set.
Original cord set damaged.
New or other cord set works with device.
Nothing the matter, use other cord set or purchase a new one for the device.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
