I have a radeon 7000 that is about a month old. I know ATI used to allow "trade-ups" meaning you could exchange your old card for a discount on a new one. So what new ATI card should i get for gaming? And how much of a discount would i get if i traded in my 7000?

I'm not sure what you'd get for a trade in but if u want a new card for gaming get the radeon 9000 pro its about 230 can. If you really want the best graphics get the 9700 pro.
