We have calibrated a TouchWindow, and now, anywhere you touch the screen, the pointer goes to the top right-hand corner. Any suggestions?

XPuser: Thanks for the suggestion; however, I have already been to that website and tried the suggestions there regarding calibration. We uninstalled the software, deleted the tsharc* files, reinstalled the software, and recalibrated the window. It used to go opposite of the touch. Now it always goes to the top right-hand corner. Any more suggestions? Thanks!

When you did the calibration did you follow some marker to select points on screen? If so and it worked then and after you ended cal it either isn't being saved / saved correctly or the rest of the system somehow is using a different pointer device or settings.

If the pointer didn't move on the cal then look for screen damage.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

I have someone onsite doing the calibration, and this is her response: I clicked the button to begin calibration with the mouse. Then it took me to another screen where a red marker appeared with instructions beside it. I touched the red marker and followed instructions (touch, hold, release) all four times. After that part, a blank screen came up that said something like “touch the screen to check calibration”. It’s at this point that I could see it wasn’t working. The first few times, when I would touch the screen as instructed, the red marker would appear at top when I touched the bottom. Then the last time I calibrated the touch screen, once I got to the “test” screen and touched it, the red marker appeared in the upper right corner and wouldn’t move regardless of where I moved my finger.

as a field tech i can say that if you calibrated it and it still is not calibrated you may be able to access the manufacturers calibration which in some cases is a calibration of aprox 26 to 50 points I dont have the eqip in front of me and do not know what mach you have it on otherwise the touchscreen may need to be taken apart and cleaned or replaced
