New Egg won't take phone or fax orders. I don't like the idea of entering a credit card number on a web site.

But you will give your CC# to a person over the phone?
Not to mention the fact that the phone has no encryption so is not as secure but the live person you are dealing with could use the information for their own gain.
There is a greater risk the way you are doing business than dealing online.
The risk in online buying is that their server may get hacked.
Just don't let the vendor save the info.
Ultimately Tiger Direct is going to process your CC# through their computer system too.
Just my opinion for what it is worth.
BTW, newegg will open an account or with accept your money order.
Just last week a poster here was looking at a Samsung 32" monitor. Tiger was $130+ higher than newegg.

I agree with you, I have purchased a lot online with Credit Card no problems. I don,t think Tiger Direct or newegg will have Parts to build your own Touch Screen PC. Thanks for the responce Horst

Yes, I still think that giving my credit card number over the phone is safer than sending it over the net.
While tirgerdirect may still process my order on their system, the process will be on their LAN and my CC number will never pass through their "web space". It is safer there, since web sites are a bigger target.
Also, I've seen credit card numbers on remote systems that I really wasn't supposed to see. Those people were lucky that I'm not the type to use them.

Then open a charge account at newegg.com and pay by check. Safer than giving the CC# over the phone.

I won't have my things in 2 days if I do that. I'm satisfied with tigerdirectand the way I place orders. I don't need to change.

What difference would it make if you charged or not on the delivery time? If you like Tiger go for it. Open an account there then.

You said "pay by check". That would be an extra 2 days before I receive my items.
