Toshiba Satellite laptop shuts off without warning

Specs: Windows 7
My 2010 Toshiba Satellite laptop has been shutting off without any warning recently. No specific cues or anything. This is a complete shut down. If I try to turn it back on, the computer will boot up for about 15 seconds and then shut down completly again. If i give it a good day to rest, I can usually get about an hour out of it. Not really sure what to do at all. The battery on the laptop has been on the fringe of working for the last year. I usually have to keep it plugged into the power supply to keep it running.

This only started after I did the free upgrade to windows 10. It kept doing this so I initiated the reversal back to windows 7. Did not resolve the issue.

Is this a heat issue? A battery issue? Thanks for the help!

Try running it without the battery. If it does better then it is probably a bad battery draining all the power.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
