I am having a problem with my sound when using a webcam. While my voice can be heard, the sound on my computer makes people sound like a dolphin! I checked the system sound and while there are no errors reported on the computer, when I test the sound recording there is an echo or scratching sound. None of the recommendations from Toshiba helps my situation. Is there anything else I can do about this sound problem? The sound works just fine with DVD's and the TV - but the webcam is useless.

have you checked toshiba's web site for an updated sound driver? and have you checked windows update for any fixes? only wondows critical/security updates install automatically, all others must be manually installed. goto windows update from the start menu and let them scan for any updates that may be relevant to your setup
