My son has a Toshibs Satellite Pro 6100 and it's now on its 3rd power supply! It eats the things!
The unit is a genuine Toshiba PA3201U-1ACA rated at 15v-5a. Are these known to be unreliable and is there an alternative he can use?

Maybe the battery is bad. Could have a bad cell which just continues to take a charge. This puts a strain on the power pack.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
