My Toshiba Satellite 1695 CDT laptop will not boot. I get a "Operating system not found". It doesn't even seem to go to the BIOS and I can not get a thing to come up. Tried booting with floppy, and also with bootable (I think) CD. There is a clicking sound as if it is trying. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your hard drive or your motherboard either way, u will need to take it in or call support to find out in more detail. But getting that message usually means your hard drive is either formated and has nothing on it or fragged to death. Just to make sure check your bois setting. If they all seem ok go see a hire power/support.
