Toshiba laptop, screen powers on but no image

Specs: Windows 7

Ok I have toshiba laptop thats a couple years old now, and the screen started acting up a few months ago. It seems the connection that goes through the hinge of the laptop between the screen and the actual computer part is messing up. Originally it would just give me a lot of green lines where there were supposed to be the color black, anywhere on the screen. If I would somewhat close or lower the screen, it would sometimes get rid of it, and other times it would just go away over time. However, there were tims when if my laptop would be turned off or restarted, sometimes the screen would power on (the backlight) but nothing shows up, like there is no image feed or anything. I had been able to just retry a couple times and then it would work, but now nothing is fixing it. I just constantly get a Backlit screen with no image feed no matter what I do.

So my question is basically, what can I do to fix it? What are all my options, and how much will it cost to fix? Thanks

Like you said, it sounds like it is probably a loose cable going into the screen. You would have to call around to see how much this would cost to fix. If your tech savy enough yourself you may be able to find a how-to for tearing your computer apart yourself and save yourself a bit of money.

If builders built buildings like programmers wrote programs, then the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization.
