Hi. I'm currently looking for a good, reliable laptop, but I'm on a bit of a tight budget.
I've noticed the Toshiba Satellite laptops seem to have a lot of stuff on them, but I've heard they have significant heating issues. For example, some of the older Toshibas will overheat to the point of a hard lockup.

Does anyone know, has Toshiba corrected this issue? Also, am I correct in assuming that if a laptop does get hot, it's only a matter of time before something internally dies as a result?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Toshiba Satellite about 4 months old, no problems with heat. They just announced a battery recall so you might want to check the mfr. dates before you buy.
