Comment: Ok. I have a P4R800-VM asus mobo (ATI chipset). When I put any AGP card in my computer, the computer starts to freeze up during any intense graphics apps, like games :(. When I use the onboard video, games run fine. At first I thought it was my mobo, but now I find that I've been running this thing on a 300 watt PSU. The 12 volt rail delivers 11 amps. Is that enough? Could this be my problem?

Reply: (edit)Ok... Everyone I've talked to said that a 300Watt power supply is minimum but enough for a P4. Also, my main question isn't whether 300Watts is enough or it isn't. The question is, is the power supply the reason my computer freezes up when I play games with an AGP card.

Reply: (edit)It's a good enough reason and the best place to start. DOn't look for an "el cheapo" 500 watt to help either. Plan on spending at least $50 for a brand name, quality PSU or you will be back here soon.

Reply: (edit)I still think it's my mobo but I will try putting in a different PSU. I find the "Not even close!" remark very funny because it's obvious you're trying to sell me that PSU u linked. 300 Watts is minimum for a P4 and I'm pretty sure minimum implies at least "close enough".
