I want to know how to remove external power supply to external hdd. Is there any adopter or any interface comes which remove this power supply. Thanks in advance .
sorry, your post makes no sense at all.
If you mean to take a HD out of a PC and put it into a USB caddy you will need a power supply to run it...it comes with the caddy. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
Some 2.5" drive enclosures work on the USB power--if that's what you're talking about: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...

Thanks for the replies . I have the external HDD of Seagate with external power supply . I don't want to have this power supply . Model Number ST310005FDA2E1-RK. Is there any casing for this HDD also. Sorry for not clarifying things properly.
You buy an external drive that is designed to run off the USB power. That is a 5V supply. The drive you have that needs an external power adaptor runs off 12V. They are not interchangable. Goin' Fishin' (Some day)
