Hi folks,

I have an ASUS A8N-VM socket 939 motherboard which has an onboard graphic card. I looked around on the BIOS page and can't resolve how to stop it working. Because I'm going to replace it with a Gigabyte PCI-E nVidia GeForce 6600 256DP2 card.

Please advise. TIA

If there's no option in the BIOS, then the onboard video will automatically disable as soon as you insert the new video card.

Hi jackbomb,

Tks for your advice. I found it later after inserting the graphic card.

On page 62 of
http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket939/A8N-VM/e2295_a8n-vm.pdf

I have no idea whether the changs made by me being correct;

Advance --> Chipset --> NorthBridge Configeration --> NvigpBridge/Geforce Configuration -->

Default:

AGP option [auto]
Primary Graphic Adapter [PCI -> PCIE -> IGP]
(remark: another option [IGP -> PCIE -> PCI])
OnChip VGA Frame Buffer Size [64MB]
OnChip VGA Trap Enable [Disable]

Changed as:

AGP option [auto] (not changed)
Primary Graphic Adapter [PCI -> PCIE -> IGP] (tried both options)
OnChip VGA Frame Buffer Size [Disable]

Any advice? TIA
