Make sure the ATX12V power connection is made to the system board via the 4 pin connector assuming your power supply is P4 ready. I just read that the CPU(P4) gets its own power from this connection. That would explain why my friends brand new PC I am building him would not POST!! I am an idiot, but also a AMD guy. I sent the board back too thinking it was defective. Live and learn. Just in case, can somebody that actually knows what they are doing confirm this please!! Thanks.

Confirmed. Two connectors for the mobo from the power supply. 1 is the 4 pin you talk about.

Confirmed. The MoBo needs that extra power connection, but not the EZ-Plug connection. Now, if only I could figure out how to make my monitor work. I just built a new PIV 2.4GHz system with ASUS MB (onboard sound and LAN - no onboard video), 256MB DDR, SB Live! 5.1, 60G HDD, 48x24x48 CDR-W, but can't get video, hence, I can't get into BIOS to load OS, etc.

I am using my old Creative RIVA TNT2 ULTRA for video card that works fine in my old 400MHz PII.

Can anyone help???
