ATI needs to hire some new programmers...
The installation CD that came with my card refused to properly install (gave me this error: Setup failed to run installation: (0x80040707))

So I spent the good part of a day trying to get it work by installing each component individually. (it had to be done in a certain order, imagine that!)

Finally getting it to work, I went to update to the Catalyst 6.11 drivers. Installed, rebooted, and now my TV WON'T WORK AGAIN, dammit!

The manuals are useless, as is the ATI site. Nothing except System Restore works.

How do you AIW guys retain your TV capabilities when you update the graphics driver?

It gives me this message (have your computing.net images turned on):

My favourite lil PC:
Pentium III-S 1.4GHz @ 1.5GHz
X800XT All-in-wonder, overclocked to 580/600.
250GB HD
2 gigs of PC2100 RAM
QDI Advance 12 mobo, this baby rocks!

I don't have an AIW card, but I had a look at the ATI site. All the software is there as are the installation instructions. It says to remove previous versions 1st, disable anti-virus & anti-spy programs, install the Catalyst drivers, THEN install the MultiMedia software (4 files) in order.

Believe me, I've tried installing the multimedia software in the order that the site instructed, and that didn't work. Had to find the correct order of installing things from the CD.

I did remove the previous 5.6 (which came with the CD) before installing the 6.11 on the site. No anti-virus software is installed yet, as this is a fresh XP install.

What it wants is a WDM driver for the Theatre 200 "streaming thing". I re-installed that, and while the device manager no longer shows a yellow "!" TV still doesn't work.

I could never get Multimedia to work with my AIW 9800 Pro. I finally gave up and downloaded several free programs including Vidcap32, AmCap, and FreeVCR, all of which are free downloads and work with video input and the TV tuner on the AIW.
