The way you were asking in the gaming forum, I thought you already had all this stuff?

Here's my take:

- Q6700 is older technology (1066MHz FSB/65nm). Newer quads are 1333MHz FSB/45nm & have either 4MB, 6MB or 12MB L2 cache.
- P45 based board would be better than nVidia based board
- Arctic Cooling Freezer Extreme is unnecessary
- 3 120mm Blue LED Fans are unnecessary
- Cathode kit is unnecessary
- Arctic silver is unnecessary
- OCZ Platinum is OK, depending on the specs (timings & voltage)

In the US, I can buy those parts for just over half the price you listed.

Are you talking new or used? Buying or selling?

You esentially listed only motherboard, processor, memory, and case.

I don't understand what you're trying to do here.

L2 Cache

and tbh the UK is just ripping everyone off on everything so thats
a bummer.

Haven't we gone over this before?

"yeah i know, but is it worth that money"

The short answer is NO...at least not in the US. I could build an entire quad system for $630US. I don't know what the prices are like where you are but as the others have asked, where's the rest of the hardware? HDD, optical drive, floppy drive, video card, PSU?

We understand UK and "down under" prices are out of sight.

So; ditch the gingerbread like AS5, extra fans, lights, etc. and use the cooler that comes with the cpu. You can always add the bling after you get your system up and running. That case also comes with more fans than you need.

Shop around for a P45 based motherboard that is not manufactured by Intel, the best deal you can find on a dual or quad core and compatible memory.

You have a video card?
