Hi! Like I said in the subject I have a Thinkpad T30. This computer can store 3 different passwords in the BIOS. 1 for the normal user, 1 for the Supervisor and 1 for the Hard Disk. The thing here is that I lost the supervisor password. I remember the other 2, but the important one... no. :(
I know there are some things to try so I can recover it. Here I put the ones that I know and if they worked or not.
-Remove BIOS Battery: This just got the things worst. Now, the laptop ask, every time I turn it on, for the supervisor pass.
-Reset Jumpers: I read that there is a jumper in the mainboard that can be used to reset the CMOS.... but I have not tried it because i'm not sure if it will reset the passwords too.
-FLash the BIOS using software: ERRR! I can't load any OS or run something from a floppy.
-Replace the chip: no please noooo!!! This is expensive.
-Replace the mainboard: really an option? probablly would be better to buy an entire laptop, or maybe buyme a new brain so I can remember important things. That's all.. Like you see, the only option in which I still hoping is the reset jumper.
Please someone help me here, Im sotcked with these. And the computer is really important for me. THANK YOU!.

well i dont know much about laptops but for desktops if you take out the bios bat and leave it out for ten minsutes with the power disconnected this wipes out all passwords no mater what so i would try that agin but as i said this is for desktops but i cant see it bering any different for laptops either so i suggest you try this agian

IBM says they don't offer any kind of password recovery. They can only do one thing for me, and that is, change my mainboard!. Yeah! Right! I'm rich, give me two of those please.
