I've been thinking to upgrade the CPU on my IBM T41(2373), which has 1.6Ghz pentium M(Banias, iMB cache).

My question is if I can put put Dothan Pentium M 725(1.6 GHz), 735(1.7GHz) on my T41.

Check the IBM site and see if it was offered in that exact model and then check the intel site for exact specs on both processors.

You do realize there will be no noticable improvement.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

I've found an article in some Japanese thinkpad forum that T41 is actually compatible with up to 755(2Ghz). The guy who did this says he could really feel the difference, but I agree with you that 725,735 don't really make a difference.
