Do you really have to do this?. Anyway get a long nose plier and carefully ease both spring clips from the underside of the mobo to remove the stock heatsink from the chipset.
You can then either use some thermal adhesive to glue the new fan to your chipset or use the retaining clips from the heatsink to secure the fan in place.
-- Always do what you are afraid to do --

so i gotta remove the whole mobo to do this? the clips would be reusable right?

A "whole bunch of thermal paste"? What does that mean? You only need a tiny dab!
Why did you feel the need to do this anyway? I have the same board, overclocked to 210mhz & have never had any problems. I wouldn't even consider doing what you plan on doing. What's the purpose? What do you think you're gonna gain? You run the risk of damaging the board for something that IMO is unnecessary.

what i meant is that i have a lot of SPARE thermal paste. i didnt mean that....uh...what you thought. overclocked to 210mhz? what do u mean? whats OCed to 210?
