My boyfriend's computer screen suddenly became twice as big as normal. He can't see an entire page without scrolling left and right. He's tried adjusting the default font size, but that didn't help.

For some reason it may have slipped into a lower screen resolution. Open display properties--right click on a vacant part of the desktop and choose 'properties'--then 'settings' and increase the resolution. Not too much or your monitor may not accept the signal.

perhaps it is the display resolution try 1024 x768. Right click a blank area on the desktop, click properties, should bring up display menu, settings tab....see if the current resolution is like 640 x480. It should be higher. the other way is through the control panel, display, settings tab. It may be the video driver has been corrupted. try those settings and if it's not possible to change the resolution it is likely a display driver.

Have you tried using CNTRL and - (minus)

Sometimes one hits CNTRL and + by mistake, not realising it increases the size of the display.

Good luck - Keep us posted
