I'm having the same problem with an emachine T2042; the power supply failed and even after I replaced the power supply with a truepower 2.0 ATX12V the power light keeps blinking fast and the machine does not commence the boot sequence. Unless the power supply I bought is somehow incompatible I'm starting to think that it's a motherboard problem. Does this make sense? Thanks,
