The disk in drive E is not formatted. This is a flash disk. I put it in a public library computer last week that would not open it. Since then I've been getting this message. What do I do to reverse the spell?

This is a thumb drive, right? Can you open it in explore, or does it give you the same message?

If you can open it in explore, delete anything you see on it.

Yes it is a thumb drive. I get the same message in Explorer. The problem is that I don't want anything deleted off of the disk. I have a lot of stuff that I want to keep.

Drag & drop your stuff off your thumbie; you gotta empty it before you can do anything.

Otherwise you can try booting into safe mode and see if you thumbie still works; I am not sure if the USB drivers are loaded in Safe Mode or not. I am not sure even if that will do any good, but it will only take a few seconds.

The thumb will not open at all. I just get the message about the drive not being formatted. Its not the drive that I'm worried about, I want the information on the drive.
