Solved The date and time is wrong on my computer.

Specs: Windows 64
This computer is an Acer. Today is the 26th and it says its the 27th. Right now as I am typing it says the time is 12:46 when really its only 9:46. My problem is that it won't let me change the date or time. If anyone knows how to fix this issue please give me an answer back it would be greatly greatly appreciated.

How are you trying to change it? What is Windows 64? Is it XP, Vista, 7, or 8? Try right clicking on the clock in the lower right of the screen, then click Adjust date/time. Make sure the Time Zone is correct then click "change date & time". Click OK, then click Apply.

You may have already tried this (and similar to riider's suggestion) but:

As riider mentions, you need to make sure the machine is set for the correct time-zone.

So the clock is running fast? You say you can't change the date or time. If the above suggestions don't help you can always set it in bios setup and likely running the DATE and TIME commands from command prompt would work too.

But I'm wondering, how long has it been since you were able to set the time correctly? Computer clocks aren't usually very accurate and if it's been quite awhile and you don't sync it occasionally with some real time software it could be off quite a bit.

On the other hand I recall some problems where computers would gain time but only when they were running, as if some software was interferring with normal operation. I don't think that issue was ever resolved.
