I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posts on this site. I have just completed building my own computer with very few problems. Even though I have only posted my problems a few times they have been answered promptly. Also, just by reading through all of the posts gave me info on ways to do/or not to do things.

System Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Newcastle
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
1 Gig Kingston PC3200 (2x512)
Sappire Radeon X800 Pro
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer
Antec 480 Trueblue PS
Antec Super Lanboy Case
80 Gig WD HD
Sony DRU-530A DVD-RW
19" Samsung SyncMaster 997DF

I upgraded from a 800 PIII Compaq that was four years old.

I am currently downloading 3DMark to try everything out.

Again, thanks for the help!!

You are very welcome, that's what we're here for!

Did you ever get the front audio jacks hooked up to your sound card?

No I just didn't hook them up. The connectors on the end of the individual wires are too big to fit on each terminal on the sound card. I get 2-3 wires pushed on the terminals and the rest just don't fit. Oh well.

Other than that the only other problems were the power LED and HD LED didn't work (connected them backwards) and I had to take the case door off because my DVD drive stuck out too far.

Downloaded 3dMark03 and ran it last night. Scored 10300. Is this good or bad? I didn't change any of the default settings and I thought something was wrong because during the CPU tests I was only getting about 5-10 fps.

Hey Daishi,

How do you like that new 64 bit proc? Notice any overheat/hi-heat issues or software conflicts with it? Give us the dirt & grit! ;0)

So far it runs great!! I was able to get everything set up last night with no conflicts. Installed windows, all updates, all drivers and everthing seems to be running okay. Ran 3dMark 03 with no problems and went through Sisoft Sandra burn in to verify everything is working. I checked the CPU heat right after runing 3dMark03 and Sisoft and it was running at 41C with fan at 3300rpm. Unfortunately the (2) case fans on the Super Lanboy don't connect to the motherboard so I can't get any readings from them.

I will be installing all the games that came with the hardware tonight after work (Tomb Raider, Halo, Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6-3, Jedi Knight Jedi Academy and I bought Unreal Tournament 2004). The video card also came with a coupon for Half Life 2. Hopefully things will run okay but I think I will be busy this weekend!!!
