I just got a Soyo TFT 22" LCD Monitor and i plugged it into my computer through the VGA input. I get a display on my screen and then 2 seconds later the screen goes black. I have to keep pressing the button to toggle between the VGA and DVI inputs to get the VGA input to show again, but then 2 seconds later the screen goes black again.

Nope, no CD. Just the monitor, VGA cable, Power Cable and a User Manual that is worthless. May as well not even be one. I'm wondering if i'm gonna be forced to get a DVI cable and connect it through DVI rather than VGA. If its possible i'd live to do the VGA though so that i don't have to buy a new cable.

Since you just bought it, why don't you exchange it for something else? Why kill yourself.

Screens have supported resolutions/refresh rates, ensure you are using what the handbook states......

Yep, i've changed my refresh rates, gone through all of my resolutions that my video card will put out and matched them all to the ones the manual states. I'm just gonna get a DVI cord and see if that works, if now i'm gonna exchange this monitor for a different one.

Nope, does the exact same thing with the DVI cable. I toggle through the 2 inputs of VGA or DVI and I pick the one i want, it shows the the screen for 1 second and then it goes black.
