I bought a new hard drive that has bad sector in it then i changed the new drive but I want to test the drive befire install xp how can I do it.
I want to do complete test, hard drive is westorn digital 500GB SATA.

Go to the link below and get the DOS version of Data Lifeguard suitable for your drive. Burn to CD or floppy and run from there.

How did you detect the bad sector? If the bad drive was also a WDC, you should have used Data Lifeguard to determine it's status.
