I know that the video card from my Dell Lattitude D630 isn't the right one for the Alienware m5550 but would it work enough for me to determine if the video card in the Alienware is faulty? (If its not the video card I'm pretty sure its the motherboard which NO ONE sells :( :( )

The majority of laptops don't have video "cards"...the graphics are built into the motherboard & are neither upgradeable nor replaceable. Are you sure your's have actual cards?
