Specs: Windows XP
I have a Palm m505 that I have used for many years . I got it out to use and there is a large tear drop in the upper right hand corner . The screen will light up but nothing is recognizable. No #'s or letters, just vague vertical lines running the upper 1/3rd of the screen. I have not synched it forever and unfortunately I have all my pertinant data stored on it and nowhere else. Help.! We tried installing the palm software and then synching but are not having any luck because the screen doesn't change at all when you push the buttons.

No software will correct teardrop screen because it is hardware-related. What you gotta do?

1. Send it to the manufacturer to have them fix it (way expensive), or

2. Retire the old Palm & buy a new one (way cheaper) with more bells & whistles.

You realize that a "teardrop" in your screen means the LCD has been ruptured and that the screen is no longer usable, right?
