Hi, i know this probably isnt completely related, but i recently found my old Tandy, and i threw out the monitor months back thiknig i would never find the rest of it. Do you recommend any stores online that could sell me a monitor? I checked eBay, and couldent find anything. Thanks,
-Will

Why do you want a propietary 'TANDY' monitor?
Can't you connect an analog VGA monitor from another manufacturer?

Hi, Some Tandy monitors of that era were a Television set with the tuner omitted. It had a plastic plate over the tuner knob opening. I don't remember what the interface was, but am pretty sure that a modern Monitor will not work. Good Luck, Jim

A Tandy SX/33 indicates that it will have an Intel 386SX/33 Mhz processor. The SX processor was 32 bit internally but only had a 16 bit data bus. The DX was the one with both 32 bit internally and a 32 bit data bus and was considerably more expensive.
There is no reason why a modern VGA monitor wont work but you will probably only get the basic VGA resolution of 640 x 480 depending on the Video card installed.
The Tandy computers that came with converted TV sets were the TRS-80 range with a Z80 CPU and even then only the Model 1. The Model II and III had proper monitors, albeit monochrome only.

I was able to find a monitor that could hook up to it, i fiddled with the pins on an old one, i wanted a Tandy Monitor because of the way the pins are arranged, seemed sort of rare to find one to match. Sorry to bother, taken care of. Sort of a bootleg aproch, but it worked. Thanks again!
