System won't boot-up

When I turn my computer on the hard drive lights blimks and attempts to start up but nothing show on the monitor. After about one minute of attemps the hard shuts down and the computer power off. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

The drive is failing, the blinking is that something nasty has happened to it. try www.computer-recovery.com they can recover any important data on the drive that you may have. hope that helps

thats maybe what happened to my old one.
my cpu and motherboard fried and from the smell of it my winbond chip was cooking!
