System restarting showing blue screen error

Specs: windows xp sp2, Core 2 duo,3 GB ram
Hi friends This is Ravi again,

I have seen a customers system.
Intel Core2Duo 2.6
Ram (Kingston (2Gb) Hunux (1Gb)
2 External 1TB
Viewsonic 17''
They have a problem and called me.i went to there and checked.the problem is when i switch on the system showing post message and then windows xp (loading ) in the middle suddenly showing bluescreen and restarting with in seconds.its is repeating 3 to 4 times after that it is booting up.once it is up no problem.but it is restarting automatically in the middle of work (rare) this is the problem.
I pull out the 2gb kingstone ram its is not diwplaying any bluescreen error.but it is restarting often.when place 2gb kingstone ram no restarting but of my friends said might be also hdd problem.
pls help any 1.

I would first get a free copy of memtest. You are supposed to run it for hours but any errors usually show up in a matter of minutes. Any errors...replace the ram chip.

Then download and run the hard drives manufactures software to check the hd for errors. They too are free.

If still no a repair install as it is possible they ran an anti virus program and it corrupted system files.

I would rule out heat as the problem is at startup and the computer restarts rather than shutting down completely.

If you have a power supply tester......your in the box anyway....plug it in and let it run for ten minutes or so.

But can u say how can i test with power supply tester.means which one power supply i need to test..i didn't get your the PSU and test or the out put ur telling.can u explain brief.
