system not detectinig any IDE device

September 23, 2009 at 04:51:33
Specs: Windows XP
I recently reloaded my operating system. I used a basic windows (home edition with service pack three). However after the reload was complete and the system rebooted it was not detecting any IDE devices. I tried entering the bios and setting the devices on auto but this did not work. I tried automatically configuring the drives but it did not work. What could be the problem
