Comment:

I have a problem with my memory stick. Suddenly it does not function anymore and reports a File system RAW on my 1 GB USB drive. I tried Daniel's advice (apparently an old post from 2005) to format it by (format x:/FS:FAT). However it reports that my USB drive is write protected!? There is really no switch on my flash drive to do this.
Has anybody have a suggestion how to reformat/partition my drive to get it to working again. At the moment I cannot acces the drive. It does not appear to have a valid partition (no FAT or NFTS). I dont care about the files on it..

Thanks,

Gerben

Try the USB stick in another computer.
