I noticed in computer management that i was getting Cpu fan not working errors, so i opened up my case and discovered i had my fan monitor cables in the wrong place. I plugged in the cpu and power fan, but what the heck is teh system fan? Also, now with this switch, i'm getting an error message now that my power fan is now only turning at about 1700 but it should be at least 2000. Can one "turn up" a fan's rotation speed? Not to run on, but on a related note, i'm being told that my CPUVid voltage is at 4.5 when it should be between 1 and 2.5. Is this related to my fan mess? Any help would be appreciated.

The system fan will be an auxillary fan located in the case, usually at the front in order to draw cool air into the case.
The Power SUpply fan is of course located within the PS case and generally exhasts air at the rear of the case towards the top.
The CPU fan of course cools the CPU and on certain newer MOBOs there is a socket for this. Do not plug the CPU fan in the System Fan socket [even if it does fit].
As for CPU voltages, these days MOBOs are auto sensing, that is they sense the CPU performance and voltage requirements without the need for specific jumpers to be plugged in according to requirements.
It may be that the incorrect connect of FANs on the MOBO is causing spurious reading on voltage, however if the CPU is being fed too much voltage it would generally burn up.
