Specs: Windows Vista, 1 ghz 1gb ram
Im having a problem with my emachines desktop. When i start it up it shuts off after i enter my password in the windows login screen. occasionally it will work for a little while but no longer than about 20 minutes. it does the same thing with safe mode and safe mode command prompt. also the bios pc health status shows my system fan running at 0 rpm and i installed a new one the other day with a 4 pin connector going into the motherboard header. i have windows vista and if this problem persists im litterally going to throw this computer through a wall. please reply thanks.

What do you mean your system Fan is spinning at 0 RPM. It means that its not working at all. Check if its spinning. Another thing Do you use a seperate Graphic Card or integrated graphics. Sometimes when the graphic card is not processing properly whether integrated or seperate the system can shut off. One more reason for this could be the BIOS. Sometimes BIOS error also cause this issue. Check these issues and reply back for further assistance.
