System ERROR !! HELP

i have amd athlon xp 1600+ , msi k7t turbo 2 mobo, geforce 4 4400, sb live 5.1, cdrw, cd rom, 20gb wd hard drive i just began to format my hard drive and do a clean install o f xp pro , i booted from windows xp cd , formatted the hard drive and then the computer restarted and the blue screen came up, it says STOP: C000021 UNKMNOWN HARD ERROR \SYSTEMROOT\SYSTEM32\NTDLL.DLL WHAT DOES IT MEAN, I TRIED TO RESTART AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED

Try putting the restore disk in and reformatting again. I would try that a couple times, other than that... you might do a search for the exact error on the net somewhere. Good luck, Red.

Summary: When I start my computer (Dell Inspiron 700m) it goes through the normal looking screen loading Windows XP with the status bar running. After 15 - 20 seconds, I get a blue screen that says: STOP: c00...
