I am having a strange problem of a BSOD "System Check Exception". It happened when I changed my network settings to set a pc-pc (ad-hoc) network using a croosover cable. After changing the settings, when I restarted , the computer gave the BSOD.The pc is set up with a dual boot opeating system. When I use Win 98SE there is no problem. But when I start XP normally it doesn't.However XP works in safe mode.PLz Help me.
My PC has :-
Asus k8v-mx mobo
AMD Sempron 2500+
256 MB RAM
IGP

Try this:

1. Boot up in safe mode and run the Network Setup Wizard.

2. If #1 doesn't help, boot up in safe mode and remove the network adapter, reboot and try #1 again.
