hello, I have acquired a 200 GB hard drive, and I currently have a 8 GB hard drive. I wantto have the 200 as my primary and the 8 as a slave. I am a novice and need step by step instructions because I don't have a windows xp installation disk and I don't want to have to reinstall windows, is this possible, if so how do I do it

Most hard drive companies offer a program to do that. Go to the 200G drive web site and see if they offer a utility.

They also have step by step instructions.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Other considerations are:

Can the PC's bios properly see a 200 gig drive?

What version of XP do you have? You need at least SP1 to see a drive/partition larger than 127 gig.
