I recently tried to hook up my laptop to the television using an s-video cable. I press the fn+f4 hotkey to switch the screen image, but the only thing that shows up is dark shadows of the screen, completely unusable, I can barely make out the faintest images of the icons. I tried upgrading my directx, I've tried downgrading my directx, i ran a system restore, I've messed with my nvidia settings, nothing changes it. the strangest thing about it is, the cable worked perfectly a month ago. So is it my computer or my cable? Has anyone experienced something like this before?

After pressing the keys you may need to reboot. Check your screen resolution.

hey I am also having a problem this time after using an s video cable. I attached my laptop to the tv and everything was working fine and when I went to use my laptop today the screen resolution is different. I put it back to its usual setting but it still appears to be different. Its not major, like can still see everything but the whole screen just kinda seems a little blurry. Anyone seen anything like this before?
