Surround sound not functioning!

I added a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy ZS 5.1 surround PCI audio card to my computer and bought Creatve Inspire P5800 5.1 speakers. installation wnt smoothly, everything is hooked up correctly, but i HAVE NO SURROUND! front left and front right speakers, as well as the sub, are working and sound good but the front center and rear left and right speakers are not working at all, no sound from them what-so-ever. windows speaker setup is set to 5.1 speaker system but i cannot get more then stereo audio (left and right front, no center or rear)!! i connected everything according to directions, so it should be working but isnt. is a pentium 3 too slow for surround or something? i had a friend upgrade it to 512mb of RAM for me! what should i do??
