Comment:

I have recently ordered a Sunbeam Liquid Neon Light kit and read a review about it and they looked quite good.. plus I see them in many modding sites. However, I just read two reviews stating the light causes large electrical interference... in some cases, leading to hardware failure.

Those reviews were done back in January, yet, the product still seems to be selling and on store shelves. I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with this light kit and whether or not it was improved? I e-mail sunbeam as well to see what they say.. no responce yet.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
i have used several sunbeam light kits with no side effects , the sun burn lasted a few days but hell i look good.
joking apart where are these web sites that say this?
the gasplasma tube kit is on a 12v inverter
may be some ppl have 20 or 30 tubes running on a dodgy psu ??? i dont know seems like a red herring story.
the bubble tubes and cold cathode lights work fine , may be the UV could affect the bios or degrade plastic , over a few 100 years.
regards

I seriously doubt if the light itself is causing any problems. The unit might be causing some RF (radio frequency) interference, which could cause problems.

Thanks! Well before I install it, i'm going to test it on one of my Test power supply's... see what effect it has.

Hi
just to continue the sunbeam saga i spoke to a few resellers of the liquid light display kit, seems they were a bit dodgy on the 12v inverter, & have not restocked they fail quite quickly. no mention of side effects tho they suggested the psu would give a bigger induction than a 12v supply, i dont know.
maybe you can report any issues
regards
