I have a plan to purchase an external Portable HDD(2.5 inch) with e-Sata port and USB port. could any of you provide the manufacture/model/capacity(250GB and above)/price which has both both interface? If 2.5 inch HDD doesnt have e-sata then please provide 3.5 inch HDD which has e-sata port and give me the best one in terms of performance and value

Seagate & Western Digital both make E-sata drives in 3.5inch, the Seagate has a 5 year warranty. Don't know of any 2.5 inch E-sata's, as 2.5 inch are generaly used as portable's, E-sata would not be practicle as they would need an external power source.

Yes indeed what anmor said is quite right. I happened to know a deal on the Western Digital 250GB USB 2.0 portable hard drive for $100, maybe you can get that. It comes with a 3 years warranty.

Thanks for your replies, The power constraint seem to be right, even seagate also has only 3.5 inch drives which has e-sata.
So either I choose 2.5 inch with USB or 3.5 inch with e-sata and usb.
