Quick question: Will a 340W power supply be enough to support a Asus A7v8x Mobo, Radeon 9000 graphics card, Athlon XP 2000+, 256Mb ddr ram (pc2700), an 80gb HD and about 3 case fans? Or is it definately going to be too little and Ill require a 400W PSU.

Also, if I upgrade graphics and CPU to an athlon XP 2800+ in the future, would this require a PSU upgrade?

yeah but i would recommand you to get 400watt to get your system run smooth and stable.

i order one of these friday http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2066678739&rd=1 you may want to also nice price.. note its 40 volt rating for a 450 watter not bad.i have the same model 350 watt in my system now 1800 xp cpu geforce 3 ti 200 and 3 hardrives it work perfectly now its time to retire it and go for the 450 watt

I've got an th711 abit mobo with a 1.5 p4 socket 478 with 640 of rdram in it as well as a geforce 3 ti200 video card as well as a sound card and some other things and my 400 does me fine so I would prolly go to atleast a 400 watt or prolly do what david said and go for a 450

its not the wattage that counts
its the amperage on the individual lines
some cheap 450w units do not have the amps of a good 350w unit
read the specs of whatever you decide to buy

I have a 250 watt powersupply soon to be upgraded to 400 watt btu the 250 runs everythign fien and i have 2 case fans,512 mb sdram,1.3ghz celeron(s---ty),80 gb hd,64 mb video card.
