Hi, i just got some logitech x-230 2.1 speakers. I like to have the sub volume up all the way. I don't listen to anything really loud or anything. Will having the sub volume up all the way shorten the lifespan of the subwoofer? I was just wodnering. thx

Leaving the volume up is a sure way of blasting the amp and speakers when you connect and disconnect the input. As long as the ratings are not exceeded it should be OK.

It will shorten the life of the speaker to some degree. But it might not be enough to worry about. It would depend on the quality of the speaker.

Your sub volume may be all the way up, butI doubt your system/player/game master volume is.

So it's not "really" "all the way up".

It's fine.

Yup...no worries, if you have your sub turned all the way up, but never turn your computer up too loud then dont worry about it. If the sound on the sub starts to get distorted i would suggest turning down the sub, and also if it has a heatsink on the back, you might wanna feel that after a while of playing music or what not, and if its really hot...you may want to turn down your sub a little to not cause any damage.
