OK I just reformatted my computer and tried to burn a DVD. Nero failed the disks (10 of them) and they all said that there was a focus/tracking error. I tried CDBURNERXP Pro and got the same result. Is my DVD burner stuffed and do I need one?

Why did you format your computer?? Are all the necessary drivers installed...chipset, video, sound, etc? Did you install all the Windows updates? Is the Burner setup on the 2ndary channel as master & NOT sharing the cable/channel with another optical drive?

Dim03, you didn't answer the question "Are all the necessary drivers installed...chipset, video, sound, etc?"

Yes they are all installed and up to date. It's really bugging me, as I never had this problem until I used Ritek disks (I updated the firmware version to A105). Mabye I should try another batch of disks?
