Hi,
I've just bought a new motherboard after a long time of not having a PC and after finally catching up with all the new technology etc. I've found something mundane and trivial to confuse myself with!
Basically, I can't remember whether or not the last motherboard I bought came with the screws to attach it to the case or if they came with the case. The new one I've just bought hasn't and I have no idea where the one's I had before (assuming they did come with the case!) are. Does anyone know of anywhere online where I might be able to buy these? I'm in the UK, in case that's an issue.
If it helps, the motherboard I've bought is an Asus M2N-E.
Any help would be appreciated!

Trivial indeed! I've found there are 2 different screws used, depending on the mounting studs. I don't know their exact specs but one type is the same thread size as is used to mount the hard drives. The second is a finer thread that will also fit cdroms and most floppy drives. You may need to visit your local hardware store and buy a few and see what fits.

I have never bought a MBoard that didn't come with screws, standoffs, manual & driver disk. They sometimes come with all cables and usually with the rear case template, which I've forgotten the name of.

in my experience of motherboards i have never got screws with them, they always came with the computer case - afterall they need the right thread to match the case - so that's why they come with the case. as previous message said, there are two types - the thicker thread which is same as usually found on hard drives and finer thread - the same as usually found on floppy drives. some cases need stand-offs, some have raised bits (dents) where the holes are so dont need stand offs
