Using windows xp home edition, for the last two weeks I have been having problems with my screensavers that use macromedia flash. They have been working fine for three years. Now they run slow or do not run at all or cause the computer to shut down unexpectedly, when the computer goes black all the light on the case keep lighting up but the computer does not restart and there is a clicking sound inside the case. I turn off the computer then turn of the main power button for a few seconds and then turn all on again and the computer starts. I have no idea what is going on,my macromedia is up to date, and the only thing I have installed is ie 7 two months ago. I know this is a vague discription but the problem is driving me crazy.
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
Fujitsu Siemens GA-8SGXLFS
3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-8SGXLFS
RADEON 9600XT [Display adapter]
RADEON 9600XT Secondary [Display adapter]
thanks to anyone who can help. ryha

"...there is a clicking sound inside the case.."

You most likely are seeing the beginnings of your hard drive failing.
Check your hard drive.
